Executive Order 19-02 Termination of Disaster Emergency with Respect to the Interruption of Natural Gas Service in Newport, Middletown, and Portsmouth January 29, 2019 WHEREAS, the circumstances that gave rise to the declaration of disaster emergency in Executive Order 19-01 of January 21, 2019, with respect to the termination of natural gas service in Newport, Middletown, and Portsmouth due to a low-pressure gas line that has left natural gas customers without heat during the dangerously cold weather conditions, have been materially improved with the gas service restored to a significant number of affected customers. NOW, THEREFORE, I, Gina M. Raimondo, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Governor of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, do hereby order and direct, effective immediately, the termination of the disaster emergency declared in, and the revocation of, Executive Order 19-01.
