Learn365RI Ambassador Program
The Learn365RI Ambassador Program connects parents with state, municipal, school, business, and community leaders who are working toward three main goals as part of the Governor's Learn365RI initiative: improving English Language Arts (ELA) and math RICAS scores; increasing FAFSA completion rates; and reducing chronic absenteeism.
Learn365RI programs have included school vacation learning camps, after-school tutoring programs, and attendance incentives—all in support of the Governor’s goal: “In every home, every day, learning matters."

An Invitation from Governor McKee to 3rd Grade Parents
Dear Rhode Island 3rd Grade Families:
In my RI 2030 plan, I have set a goal for Rhode Island to have the best educational results in the country.
The level of student achievement in third grade is a powerful predictor of their future academic performance. As your Governor, I am writing to invite you to help Rhode Island families understand the urgency of taking strong actions and building positive habits that will set children up for lifelong success.
We all know that these three simple steps can set 3rd graders up to win as adults:
- Ensure that your child regularly attends school except when they are sick.
- Commit to reading together or playing math games for 20 minutes a night.
- Promote nutritious food choices, good sleep habits, and limited screen time.
As a parent and now grandparent, I know that committing to those steps can often compete with many other priorities that families must juggle. This is hard work, which is why my office is seeking your assistance on this journey.
I am hoping to connect with interested parents of third graders throughout Rhode Island—whether they attend traditional public, charter, parochial, or private schools, or are homeschooled—to help spread the word about the importance of these early school years. I am calling this program the Learn365RI Ambassador Program, and you can sign up here: Learn365RI 3rd Grade Family Sign Up
As part of this program, you will receive invites to quarterly convenings and other parent and family learning opportunities to build your own knowledge base as well as tools to help spread the word through your community.
Thank you for all that you do to support your child’s success.
Sincerely,
Daniel J. McKee
Governor
