Executive Order 20-31 Twenty-eighth Supplemental Emergency Declaration – Extension of Various Executive Orders May 7, 2020 WHEREAS, on March 9, 2020, I issued Executive Order 20-02 declaring a state of emergency due to the dangers to health and life posed by COVID-19 and that Order has been extended until May 8, 2020; WHEREAS, on April 9, 2020, I issued Executive Order 20-19 increasing access to unemployment insurance; WHEREAS, on April 9, 2020, I issued Executive Order 20-20 imposing further self-quarantine and self-isolation requirements; WHEREAS, on April 10, 2020, I issued Executive Order 20-22 allowing a corporation to hold a scheduled meeting by remote communication; and WHEREAS, aggressive and sustained efforts are still necessary to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus and to lessen the strain on our healthcare system. NOW, THEREFORE, I, GINA M. RAIMONDO, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Governor of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, pursuant to Article IX of the Rhode Island Constitution and the Rhode Island General Laws, including, but not limited to, Title 30, Chapter 15, and Title 23, Chapter 8, do hereby extend the following Executive Orders: Executive Order 20-02 (Declaration of Disaster Emergency). Executive Order 20-17 (Fourteenth Supplemental Emergency Declaration - Testing, Critical Supplies and Hospital Capacity Reporting). Executive Order 20-19 (Sixteenth Supplemental Emergency Declaration - Increasing Access to Unemployment Insurance). Executive Order 20-20 (Seventeenth Supplemental Emergency Declaration - Further Quarantine Order). Executive Order 20-22 (Supplemental Emergency Declaration - Shareholder Meetings). These Executive Orders (20-02, 20-03, 20-06, 20-07, 20-16, 20-17, 20-19, 20-20 and 20-22) shall remain in full force and effect until June 5, 2020 unless renewed, modified or terminated by subsequent Executive Orders.
