AttendanceMattersRI: Governor McKee, Commissioner Infante-Green Recognize Weekly Attendance Leaders and Improved Schools

PROVIDENCE, RI- Acknowledging the importance of consistent attendance in education and in alignment with the #AttendanceMattersRI campaign, Governor Dan McKee and Commissioner Angélica Infante-Green are pleased to highlight the top elementary, middle, and high schools with the greatest average weekly attendance. Greatest improvement data will return next week as a result of the short holiday week. 

The following schools are Rhode Island’s attendance leaders for the week of November 27, 2023*:    

• Elementary: Clayville Elementary School, Scituate – 97.52% 
• Middle: Raices Upper Dual Language Academy, Central Falls – 97.71%  
• High School: Trinity Academy for the Performing Arts ** – 96.6%   

The Governor and Commissioner express their gratitude and encouragement to all schools in Rhode Island for their ongoing efforts to prioritize attendance and reinforce the value of consistent learning experiences for all students.    

*As of Tuesday, December 5, at 6 a.m.
