AttendanceMattersRI: Governor McKee, Commissioner Infante-Green Recognize Weekly Attendance Leaders and Improved Schools (Week of January 22, 2024) Published on Friday, February 02, 2024 PROVIDENCE, RI – Acknowledging the importance of consistent attendance in education and in alignment with the #AttendanceMatters campaign, Governor Dan McKee and Commissioner Angélica Infante-Green are pleased to highlight the top elementary, middle, and high schools with the greatest average weekly attendance, as well as elementary and secondary schools with the greatest improvement in weekly attendance. The following schools are Rhode Island’s attendance leaders for the week of January 22, 2024: Elementary: John F. Horgan Elementary School, West Warwick – 99.1% Middle: John F. Deering Middle School, West Warwick – 99.4% High School: Classical High School – 98.1% Special recognition is extended to the following schools for demonstrating the most improved average attendance rates from the previous week: Elementary: Kevin K.
