AttendanceMattersRI: Governor McKee, Commissioner Infante-Green Recognize Weekly Attendance Leaders

Week of April 21, 2025
PROVIDENCE, RI — Acknowledging the importance of consistent attendance in education and in alignment with the #AttendanceMattersRI campaign, Governor Dan McKee and Commissioner Angélica Infante-Green are pleased to highlight the top elementary, middle, and high schools with the greatest average weekly attendance*.
The following schools are Rhode Island’s attendance leaders for the week of April 21, 2025**:
- Elementary: North Scituate Elementary School – 97.3%
- Middle: Hope Highlands Middle School, Cranston – 96.7%
- High School: RI Nurses Institute Middle College – 97.4%
The Governor and Commissioner express their gratitude and encouragement to all schools in Rhode Island for their ongoing efforts to prioritize attendance and reinforce the value of consistent learning experiences for all students.
*Note: Improved schools are not included as the week previous to April 21 was school break.
