PROVIDENCE, RI – Governor Dan McKee has ordered Rhode Island flags at all state buildings and facilities to be lowered to half-staff in honor of the victims of the tragic shooting at Dennis M. Lynch Arena in Pawtucket. Flags will remain at half-staff through Sunday, February 22.

“Hearts are heavy across Rhode Island as we grieve this tragedy,” said Governor Dan McKee. “We continue to hold the victims and their families in our hearts. Now is the time for Rhode Islanders to stand united and show compassion for one another. Now is a time for togetherness.”

Governor McKee also asks Rhode Islanders to lower their flags as a sign of respect.
