Governor McKee Issues Statement on Resignation of Rhode Island Supreme Court Associate Justice Maureen McKenna Goldberg

PROVIDENCE, RI — On Thursday, Governor McKee issued the following statement on the resignation of Rhode Island Supreme Court Associate Justice Maureen McKenna Goldberg.
“For more than thirty-five years, Justice Goldberg has served Rhode Island with integrity, wisdom, and an unwavering commitment to justice. She has had a lasting impact on the Bar, not only for the numerous decisions she authored but also for the extraordinary mentorship she provided to her clerks, many of whom have now become judges themselves. Justice Goldberg focused on the professional development of female attorneys and has received numerous awards for the promotion and enhancement of women in the legal profession. There is no doubt that her impact on the Court and our community will be felt for generations to come. On behalf of the State of Rhode Island, I wish Justice Goldberg a happy and well-earned retirement.”
