Governor McKee Nominates Tracey Wiley to Rhode Island Commerce Corporation Board

PROVIDENCE, RI — Governor Dan McKee today announced that he has nominated Tracey Wiley to serve on the Rhode Island Commerce Corporation board.
Wiley currently works as the Executive Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for Bally’s Corporation, and was recently appointed by Governor McKee to serve on the Governor’s Workforce Board.
“Tracey brings a track record of business acumen and experience that speaks for itself,” said Governor Dan McKee. “Her background as an entrepreneur and champion of small businesses offers a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Commerce Corporation Board. I look forward to working with her to make our state a more prosperous place for residents, workers, and our economy.”
Before joining Bally’s Corporation permanently in 2022, Wiley served as the Director of the Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity (SBSD) for the Commonwealth of Virginia. During her time, she helped the Commonwealth increase its investment in small, women and minority owned businesses. Wiley and the SBSD supported more than $100 million in small business recovery grants to more than 3,000 Virginia small businesses affected during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Wiley is also a founder and CEO of Rainmaker Industries Group, LLC., created to elevate communities of color and create access to models that build generational wealth for a diverse people.
She is an active board member for the Phoenix Suns/Phoenix Mercury Advisory Board. Wiley previously chaired the Board of Directors for the Boston-based non-profit organization, Interise, a national organization promoting the delivery of capacity-building programs for low-income and disadvantaged businesses.
Wiley holds a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communications from Old Dominion University.

Wiley’s name has been submitted to the Rhode Island Senate for advice and consent.
