JAMESTOWN, RI – Today, Governor Dan McKee and Jamestown Town Council President Nancy Beye signed the Learn365RI Municipal Compact.

“Our students across the state deserve a high-level of commitment to their education and I thank our partners in Jamestown for recognizing that,” said Governor McKee.

“The town of Jamestown is honored to be included in the Governor’s Municipal Education Project. While our schools have won top honors recently, we always strive to improve. Thank you, Governor McKee!” said Jamestown Town Council President Nancy Beye.

Learn365RI seeks to improve student learning outcomes to reach Massachusetts levels in three key metrics: RICAS math and English Language Arts scores, student attendance, and FAFSA completion.

Jamestown is the 10th community to commit to partnering with the state to improve student achievement levels through increasing out-of-school learning time, joining Newport, Bristol, East Providence, East Greenwich, Providence, Warren, Smithfield, North Kingstown and Pawtucket.
